  • Google HAI-DEF Compliance: Your use is governed by the Google HAI-DEF Terms of Use.
  • Not a Medical Device: MediBear is for health education reference only and is not a medical device. Google is not a "manufacturer" of medical devices by providing HAI-DEF services.

2. Privacy Policy & Data Processing

We adopt a "Privacy First" architecture to ensure user data is protected to the highest standards.

Zero-Retention Data Processing

  • Real-time Processing: Your uploaded images are processed in real-time within memory (RAM) for AI analysis.
  • No Image Retention: We do not store your original images on servers or in the cloud. Once analysis is complete, image data is immediately and permanently cleared from memory.
  • Local Storage: Your analysis records are stored only on your personal device locally (IndexedDB/LocalStorage). We do not sync this sensitive data to our servers.

Data Minimization

We only retain the minimum amount of data required for legal compliance:

  • Compliance Logs: Records of terms acceptance, de-identified IP addresses, and timestamps to meet regulatory audit requirements.
  • Anonymous Metadata: Statistical data without personally identifiable information (e.g., model version, processing time).
  • Retention Period: System logs are typically deleted automatically within 30 days.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MediBear is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the service or its output.
